DRUG ARREST

Norwood Police Detectives and members of the NORPAC Detectives Unit arrested 31 year old Elizabeth Misantone of 28 Sturtevant Ave after a month long investigation. Detectives’ acting on information that Misantone was selling narcotics out of her apartment set up surveillance. The defendant did sell cocaine to undercover Police Detectives on several occasions. A search warrant was executed at the defendant’s house at the same time of her arrest. Detectives discovered more contraband and cash related to drug distribution. Found with in her property were several pills classified as a Class “E” narcotic. Misantone also had an outstanding warrant out of West Roxbury District Court.

The Norwood Police Department is pleased to announce Lieutenant Peter F. Kelly Jr's graduation from the 246th session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Lt. Kelly, a Norwood Police Officer with more than 23 years law enforcement experience, was among 249 men and women representative of 46 states, 28 international countries, 3 military organizations and 5 federal civilian organizations to graduate from this session. The FBI National Academy is internationally recognized for its academic excellence, offering 10 weeks of advanced investigative, management, and fitness training for selected officers having proven records as professionals within their agencies. Officers who have completed this program represent only 1% of law enforcement officers in the country, with just over 45,000 law enforcement officers having completed the program since it began in 1935. Lt. Kelly is the third officer from the Norwood Police Department to complete such a program in more than 40 years.
